'Fabian Delph Gets In Arguments With Fans On Instagram After Liverpool Loss

Fabian Delph has been exposed by fans for arguing with them on social media after they called out Everton players' poor performance against Liverpool in the FA Cup on Sunday.

The Toffees haven't beaten their Merseyside rivals at Anfield since 1999 and their game last weekend looked to be the perfect chance, with Jurgen Klopp resting much of his strongest side.

However the visitors put in a poor second half performance and was beaten by a brilliant strike from teenager Curtis Jones.

That led to a backlash from Everton fans and midfielder Delph wasn't happy with being called out by angry supporters on Instagram, engaging in childish arguments with them and being exposed by them on Twitter.

Everton were once again expected to be the club challenging the 'big six' in the Premier League before the season began after a decent transfer window.

Delph was one of the players they signed in the summer, joining from Manchester City for £8.5 million, but he has started just nine league games so far.

The Toffees had a poor start to the season under Marco Silva and being near the relegation zone led to the former Watford boss being sacked.

Interim manager Duncan Ferguson earned good results against Chelsea and Manchester United before three times Champions League winner Carlo Ancelotti took over as permanent boss.

The Italian has won two and lost two in his first four games in charge but the Liverpool game was a really bad game for the team, with players criticised for lack of effort in the derby.

Can Ancelotti turn things around at Goodison Park?
