Manchester United should hire Leeds United Manager Marcelo Bielsa, according to Tony Cascarino of TalkSport. The Sport Host believes that Bielsa makes more sense than ex-Tottenham Manager, Mauricio Pochettino.
Regardless of current Manchester United Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer having the backing of the Manchester United board, some pundits are still plotting his demise and succession.
Tony Cascarino of TalkSPORT believes that United should sack their current Manager and bring in Leeds United Manager, Marcelo Bielsa.
Manchester United have been linked with Managers such as Julian Nagelsmann, Marco Rose, Ralf Rangnick, Massimiliano Allegri, and primarily, Mauricio Pochettino.
However, Cascarino believes Bielsa is the right man over Pochettino, due to Pochettino idolising the Championship Manager.
"I'd have Bielsa over Pochettino every day of the week. Look at what he's changed at Leeds. Pochettino was a very good manager at Spurs. He's done an incredible job. But I'm talking about style of play. Remember, Pochettino is a disciple of Bielsa and the way he plays."
In the time Bielsa has been in charge of Leeds, the North-Yorkshire team made the Playoffs Semi-Final, losing to Derby County. Pochettino had a relatively similar run with Spurs in his five years turned Tottenham from a mid-table club into a runners-up finish in the Premier League and a Champions League Final appearance.
Cascarino believes that Bielsa being known for his insane attacking system would be the best fit for United's 'ethos' which normally includes the ideas of attacking and winning trophies.
Bielsa has previously won 0 domestic and continental competitions, with a 2004 Olympic Gold Medal to his name only.
If United listened to Cascarino in regards to Bielsa, they would be doomed for several more years.
