'Sergio Romero Crashes £170,000 Lamborghini On The Way To Manchester United Training

Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero was unhurt after crashing his car on the way to training on Monday morning.

Pictures and video of the wreckage of Romero's £170,000 Lamborghini after the crash started doing the rounds on social media this morning, fortunately the Argentine remained unhurt from the incident.

The incident happened near the club's Carrington training ground on a very cold and potentially icy morning in Manchester, with the number two goalkeeper's car ending up underneath a roadside barrier.

He's done very well to come away from the incident without any injuries and according to BBC Sports reporter Simon Stone he still managed to make it into training.

Romero has played nine times in all competitions this season, playing in the Europa League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup, and kept seven clean sheets in those games with United winning all but two, both of which were draws.

The 32-year-old signed for the Premier League in 2015 as back up for David de Gea and he's been considered the best back up keeper in football throughout that time, stepping in brilliantly whenever needed.

The former AZ Alkmaar goalie was on the bench on Sunday and had to watch as United lost 2-0 to to fierce rivals Liverpool, who took yet another step towards winning the league.

Jurgen Klopp's side were much the better team and could have been far further ahead, especially with a controversial disallowed goal after a foul on De Gea, and Mo Salah only wrapped up the points in injury time.

No matter whether it's Ole or Sergio at the wheel things aren't going well at Old Trafford right now.
