Never go full Mike Dean, unless of course you are Mike Dean. That's exactly what the referee/cult hero did on Monday night, booking Matteo Guendouzi for sarcasm.
Dean is known for being over the top with his signalling, telling players 'off you pop' after sending them off and for making the game as much about him, a true lover of the spectacle of the game.
In Monday night's FA Cup Fifth Round match between Arsenal and Portsmouth he showed Guendouzi a yellow card for dissent because of the midfielder's sarcasm.
Twice the Frenchman tried to take a quick free kick only to be called back by the official and on the third attempt he slammed the ball on the ground, irking Dean and earning himself a spot in the book.

Arsenal fans obviously weren't happy with the decision, and they already dislike the Tranmere Rovers supporting ref for his perceived bias towards Spurs, and they were already annoyed at his performance in the match.
Earlier in the first half Lucas Torreira had to be stretchered off, and was clearly in agony, after a strong challenge from Pompey defender James Bolton.
Bolton won the ball but it was certainly a tough challenge and easily could have ended with the 25-year-old being booked, it certainly looked more worthy than a bit of sarcasm.
The injury led to five minutes of injury time at the end of the first 45 minutes and in the fourth of those minutes the Gunners took the lead.
Reiss Nelson's corner was cleared but it came back to him via Dani Ceballos and the second attempted cross found Sokratis who volleyed home.
Eddie Nketiah made it 2-0 for the away team just six minutes after half time and just like that they'd all forgotten how annoyed they were at Dean.
