Man Utd & Chelsea target Rice for sale at £70m as West Ham plan overhaul (Sun)

Declan Rice could spark a transfer war among the Premier League's leading clubs this summer, with West Ham United prepared to allow their key asset to leave.

Manager David Moyes is keen to freshen up his squad, and although he wants Rice to be part of it, knows he needs funds to reboot a side that before the coronavirus outbreak were struggling desperately in the battle against relegation.

But according to the Sun, 'nobody is safe' from being sold at the London Stadium with the Hammers struggling with cash flow issues as a result of the pandemic.

Despite the club having a poor season, Rice has shone in the midfield and picked up his first England cap earlier in 2019, earning six more since.

As a result, the Stratford based side could expect to attract £70million for his services and that has drawn interest from Manchester United and his former club Chelsea.

Rice started his career at the Blues before being released at 15-years-old.

But he could be brought back to Stamford Bridge to play alongside close friend Mason Mount.

Although the Blues already have N’Golo Kante, the exciting youngster Billy Gilmour and Jorginho in midfield, it is though the Brazilian could be sold to make way for Rice.
