Bayern 'reach agreement with Thiago over new contract & will announce this week'

According to information from BILD and SPORT BILD, the contract extension of Thiago Alcantara at Bayern is finished. The club wants to announce the new term later this week.

BILD has already reported that Thiago was at Säbener Straße yesterday on a non-training day.

He had last been talking to trainer Hansi Flick twice on the training pitch. A week ago they were ready to reach an agreement over new deal.

And Thiago said a few days ago in the Catalan newspaper "La Vanguardia" about a career end in Munich: "That is a difficult question. A lot has to be right. But Bavaria would be a wonderful club to end a career."

Bayern recently extended the contract with Thomas Müller until 2023, coach Hansi Flick also signed until 2023. Negotiations are ongoing with Manuel Neuer and David Alaba.
