A Twitter thread of Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard's most embarrassing and dubbed, 'best assists' have gone viral after being made by a Chelsea fan. Some of the assists include threading the needle to former teammate, Luis Suarez.
Even though Steven Gerrard won a few trophies in his career at Liverpool and LA Galaxy, he had his fair share of criticism.
From the constant Gerrard vs Lampard debates (when the winner was always Paul Scholes), the infamous Chelsea transfer request, the slip, and never winning a Premier League for Liverpool, Gerrard isn't seen in the best light by football fans from those times.
A thread on Twitter has surfaced though and instantly going viral after showing some of Gerrard's 'best assists'.
As you can tell, the Twitter thread isn't to the benefit of Liverpool fans and instead show his incredible assists to thread the needle and find the opposition's strikers.Thread of Steven Gerrard best Assists. Easily the best passer the Premier League has seen. :

In all seriousness, the six 'assists' shown in the Twitter thread see Gerrard mishit, or accidentally pass the ball into the stride of the opposition strikers who poached the pass and went onto score. Some of the strikers include Thierry Henry, his former teammate Luis Suarez, Didier Drogba, and that one to Demba Ba.

The Scouse legend however did go on to win the incredibly famous Champions League in 2005 in Istanbul, while also two FA Cups, and three League Cups for the Liverpool reds.
Gerrard finished his Premier League career on 92 assists, good for sixth all-time and only two behind Arsenal icon, Dennis Bergkamp. Maybe the Premier League record keepers need to check these passes again so he can overtake the Dutchman and get into the top five in assists.
