Longstaff's future has been the subject of intense transfer speculation after rejecting a long-term contract from Newcastle who reportedly offered him a £15,000 per week deal.
The North East outfit have yet to return with another offer with Udinese set to pounce by offering the 20-year-old a reported £30,000 per week contract, along with a signing-on fee.
Longstaff traveled to Italy for talks before the global pandemic with the player weighing up his options.
The Serie A side would also have to pay Newcastle around £400,000 in compensation due to Longstaff's age.
Further reports claim Longstaff would become Udinese's highest paid player if he does put to paper with the Italian club.
To put this into context; this would make Matty Longstaff Udinese’ highest paid player. De Paul is currently the highest on £26,000-a-week. Which makes me think Watford is almost the guaranteed destination https://t.co/ILUHJlasUj
