A plane with a message reading "All White Lives Matter Burnley' flew over the Etihad Stadium in the first half of the game tonight.
As we have seen in the games played in the restart, all the players and staff involved in the game took a knee upon referee Andre Marriner blowing his whistle, while 'Black Lives Matter' was once again on the back of the shirts of those playing.
But after fans watching at home on the television heard a buzzing noise that sounded like plane, images of a banner completely going against the movement quickly emerged.
There a different levels of racism. This ranges from microagressions to outright persecution of minorities. I’m not sure where hiring a private plane to reveal a “White Lives Matter Burnley” sign lies, but I think we may have found one of the most innovative forms of racism https://t.co/ywF9aIjOjB

According to James Ducker from The Telegraph, the plane did a dummy run over the stadium yesterday. At this stage it is unclear who exactly is behind the banner and how it was allowed to be flown.
That plane trailing a banner that says 'White Lives Matter Burnley!' apparently did a dummy run over the Etihad yesterday. Morons

Burnley published an official statement condemning the banner, apologised to both City and the Black Lives Matter as well as promising lifetime bans for those responsible.
The statement read: "Burnley Football Club strongly condemns the actions of those responsible for the aircraft and offensive banner that flew over The Etihad Stadium on Monday evening."
"We wish to make it clear that those responsible are not welcome at Turf Moor.
"This, in no way, represents what Burnley Football Club stands for and we will work fully with the authorities to identify those responsible and issue lifetime bans.
"The club has a proud record of working with all genders, religions and faiths through its award-winning Community scheme, and stands against racism of any kind.
"We are fully behind the Premier League's Black Lives Matter initiative and, in line with all other Premier League games undertaken since Project Restart, our players and football staff willingly took the knee at kick-off at Manchester City.
"We apologise unreservedly to the Premier League, to Manchester City and to all those helping to promote Black Lives Matter."
