It's official. Branislav Ivanovic will return to the Premier League after signing a one-year contract with West Brom, which means he could be in-line for an awkward reunion with reporter Geoff Shreeves.
The 36-year-old full-back, who made over 350 appearances for Chelsea during a nine-year stay at Stamford Bridge, will bring a wealth of experience to the newly promoted side.
He picked up three league titles, three FA Cup's, one Europa League and a League Cup in a trophy-laden spell with the Blues.
I have actually seen Chelsea fans saying that Branislav Ivanovic is not a Chelsea hero...

🏆 3x Premier League
🏆 3x FA Cup
🏆 1x League Cup
🏆 1x Europa League
🏆 1x Champions League
The guy is most certainly a hero, even a legend.
Put some respect on his name. pic.twitter.com/rsWodK9Q5Q
Ivanonic also lifted the Champions League in 2012 after Didier Drogba scored the winning penalty after a dramatic 1-1 draw in normal time but unfortunately, the Serbian missed the showcase fixture because of a yellow card against Barcelona in the semi-final.
The full-back was, however, oblivious to the fact he was going to miss the final against Bayern and, in one of the most awkward moments in television history, reporter Shreeves was the person to let him down during his post-match interview.
Ivanovic's joy was certainly short lived as he found out in the most devastating of circumstances.
The defender even turned to teammate Ashley Cole for reassurance but the suspension was final. So awkward.
To his credit, the defender picked himself up after the interview, refusing to dwell on the heartbreak of suspension.
"I didn't expect him to book me for that and I didn't know I was in the danger zone," Ivanovic told reporters. "The Champions League and football is like life. You cannot look back. You have to look forward.
"I feel happy because the team goes to the final. We deserved it at the end of the day, with some luck."
Looking forward to Geoff Shreeves breaking the news to Branislav Ivanovic that he’s 36 and plays for West Brom: pic.twitter.com/aXLKXEFQRv
