Gary Neville believes Mohamed Salah has reached another level at Liverpool and says he's "not far" from becoming the best player in the world.
Neville waxed lyrically about Salah following his superb hat-trick against Leeds United on Saturday.
The Liverpool forward has now scored 97 goals in just 154 appearances since his transfer from AS Roma in 2017.
And the former Manchester United captain spoke glowingly about the Egyptian star on Monday Night Football.
He reckons the 28-year-old is capable of becoming the best player in the world in the coming years.
🗣"I was watching Salah and thinking that is some player, when he got those 40 odd goals I though that's a freak, then he does it for 2 or 3 years, he is an absolute killer on the pitch!" @GNev2 on Mo Salah for Liverpool pic.twitter.com/807qpIGxdX

"There was a point in the game where I was watching Salah and I just thought, that is some player," he said.
"Four years ago, when he first came to Liverpool and he got those 40-odd goals, I thought, 'That's a freak. He won't be able to live with that.'
"But then he consistently produces over a period of two or three years."
Salah returned to England's top flight in emphatic fashion following a nightmare spell at Chelsea.
On his time at Stamford Bridge, Neville added: "He was frantic, he was weaker, he was making poor decisions, he was immature as you would expect from a young player who is developing.
"But watching him on Saturday, it was almost like he was toying with the game, almost like he had the game in his hands.
"He looks different. He looks mean, he looks hungry, he looks strong. His game is more mature."
Neville insists Salah has the ability to establish himself as the world's best.
"[Kylian] Mbappe, he's fantastic. Neymar, he's a bit up and down a bit... Where is the best player in the world going to be in the next couple of years?
"Salah is not far away from it anyway, but to me on Saturday he looked like an absolutely different level."
Salah's three goals inspired Liverpool to a thrilling 4-3 victory over Leeds as the defending champions resume their Premier League campaign against Chelsea on Sunday.
