Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly plotting a sensational move for Dele Alli after the Spurs star was left out of his side's last two matches this season.
The 24-year-old Spurs midfielder featured in the starting XI in Tottenham's shock 1-0 defeat to Everton last weekend.
But Alli was left out of the Spurs squad for the trip to Bulgaria in their Europa League clash with Lokomotiv Plovdiv on Thursday.
The England international's future at the club was plunged into further doubt after Jose Mourinho snubbed him for Spurs' match with Southampton today.
Now, The Daily Telegraph reports that PSG are eying up a move for out-of-favour Alli, whose current deal with Spurs expires in 2024.
The newspaper added that the 'exact nature' of the Alli deal is not clear and whether PSG want to make the move a loan with an option to buy or a full transfer.
However, the Telegraph claims that defending French champions have been 'long-admires' of the Spurs star and 'like the idea of signing an English player.'
Mourinho confirmed ahead of the Southampton match that Alli's absence wasn't due to injury, but he instead argued that it was down to his "huge squad."
The 'Special One' told BT Sport: "No, we have a huge squad with numbers that are very difficult to manage.
"I never had it, I don't like to have it. It isn't easy for me to be here with 18 players and 10 at the training ground -- too many players.
"We have too many players for some positions and some of them are paying the price for this."
Is Dele Alli's absence against Southampton down to fitness?
