Monday's transfer deadline brought the drama as clubs dashed to make last minute deals - but a number of top players are still free agents.
Premier League clubs spent £1.24 billion across the elongated window in an attempt to improve their squad.
But beneath the huge sums of cash being traded across Europe are players currently without a contract.
Former England internationals Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck left West Ham United and Watford respectively on Tuesday, while Daniel Sturridge has been on the sidelines for months.
Premier League cult hero Hatem Ben Arfa left Real Valladolid at the end of the season and Mario Gotze, who scored the winning goal in the 2014 World Cup Final, did not renew with Borussia Dortmund and has been linked with PSV Eindhoven.

There is a lot of title winning experience in that list.
Lots of the players listed are nearer the end of their careers but have still played at a decent level in recent years.
The youngest player on the list is Halilovic, who is 24-years-old and had spells at European giants Barcelona and AC Milan.
Alen Halilović, at 24, is the youngest player on this list. He’s also the third youngest CL player ever.
