Cesc Fabregas has insisted that former Arsenal teammates Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey could both have played for Barcelona.
The 33-year-old Spaniard spent eight years at the Gunners before moving to the Camp Nou in 2011.
The Monaco midfielder believes that both Wilshere and Ramsey had what it takes to play for the Spanish club.
"Jack was such a good talent, one of the most talented players I've ever played with," Fabregas told The Daily Mail.
"He was just 16 when he first came to train with us and I was like, 'Wow this guy is good, strong, sharp.'
"It's a big shame what has happened to him, I feel sorry because he could have been a proper English legend of the game.
"We always talk about how British players would adapt to teams in Europe -- I always believed that Jack was one of the few Brits who could have made it big time at Real Madrid or Barcelona.
"Same with Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale. These guys are so talented, without injuries they could have done much more."
Fabregas would return to the Premier League in 2014 with Chelsea and spent five years at Stamford Bridge.
The 2010 World Cup winner moved to Monaco in 2019 and has made over 30 appearances for the French club.
Ramsey, 29, spent 11 years at Arsenal and made over 250 appearances for the Gunners before moving to Juventus in 2019.
Wilshere, meanwhile, is currently a free agent after he was released from West Ham last month.

The 28-year-old midfielder tweeted at the time: "I'm still only 28 and feel fit, strong and ready to play.
"I am still incredibly hungry, ambitious and desperate to play football and achieve success."
