'Harry Winks Scores Long Range Goal Vs Ludogorets In The Europa League

Harry Winks scored a long range goal against Ludogorets in the Europa League on Thursday night, but no one was too sure he actually meant it.

Jose Mourinho made 10 changes in Europe from the team who beat Manchester City 2-0 at the weekend, with Tanguay Ndombele the only survivor from the Premier League game.

It didn't make too much difference as the north London side dominated their Bulgarian visitors from the off, with Carlos Vinicius getting his first two goals for the club in the first half.

However the moment of the game came in the 63rd minute when Winks floated a long range shot over the stranded keeper and into the net.

It wasn't totally convincing that the English midfielder meant the shot and he may have just been looking for a teammate.

BT Sport asked the 24-year-old after the game whether or not he meant it, with the Londoner saying "I'd love to say I did," adding, "I saw Gaz [Bale] making the run."

The midfielder won't mind, and nor will Bale or anyone else around the club, with the ball going in and embarrassing Plamen Iliev in the opposition goal.

Things got even better 10 minutes later as Lucas Moura made it 4-0 and that allowed Mourinho to bring on a few youngsters to get some game time.

Alfie Whiteman, Jack Clarke, Harvey White and Dane Scarlett all got some game time late on.

Spurs only need one point from their final two games to qualify.
