Chelsea transfer round-up: Olivier Giroud exit, "not satisfied" Antonio Rudiger

Chelsea invested heavily in the summer but Frank Lampard has still talked down their title chances.

The Blues spend over £200m on the likes of Kai Havertz and Timo Werner, but consecutive defeats have been a reality check.

Lampard though could still see ins and out at Stamford Bridge as he continues to put his stamp on this squad.

There have been winners and losers in the Chelsea team as they begin to get a settled starting XI.

With that in mind we take a look at the latest transfer rumours from west London with the January transfer window just round the corner.

Lampard covets Rice move

Declan Rice remains Lampard's most coveted signing according to the Telegraph.

The West Ham ace was at Stamford Bridge as a youngster before he was released.

But his performances in east London are making a mockery of that decision and he has since been linked with a return to the Blues.

Several top clubs have been linked with Rice in recent times as he continues to grow in stature for the Hammers.

Giroud can request exit

Olivier Giroud can leave Chelsea in the New Year - but he will have to request the move himself reports Calciomercato.

The Blues forward was linked with a move away last term having struggled for opportunities.

It was looking like deja vu before Giroud started to get a run of games which saw him underline his importance.

He scored four against Sevilla in Europe but has been linked with clubs in France and Italy.

Rudiger not satisfied

Antonio Rudiger admits he is "not satisfied" with his role at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have several centre-half options but Lampard looks to have settled on Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma as his preferred pairing.

"I can't be satisfied with my situation, but the fight has been accepted," he told German publication   ZDF .

"What will happen in January is a long way off. I'm completely relaxed."
