'Chelsea Fan Claims That He Will NOT Attend Any More Home Games After Frank Lampard’s Sacking

An upset Chelsea fan has vowed not to attend any more matches at Stamford Bridge after Frank Lampard was axed as Blues boss.

Lampard, 42, had been under intense pressure at Chelsea as his side slipped to ninth in the Premier League table.

And the Chelsea legend was dismissed on Monday after the Blues issued a statement saying that "recent results and performances have not met the club's expectations."

Lampard, who was appointed Chelsea manager in 2019, left Stamford Bridge with the worst Premier League points-per-match record for any manager under the Roman Abramovich era.

Now, one fan believes that the club have caused another "wedge" with supporters after the former Chelsea midfielder's dismissal.

Speaking to talkSPORT, the Chelsea supporter said he had been going to Stamford Bridge for "50-odd years," but now he believes "that's me finished."

The fan explained: "I'm absolutely gutted for him.

"The mistake was made by the board in appointing him in the first place. He's leaving a better manager than when he arrived. He's learnt a lot. He will become a very good manager -- I've got no doubt about that.

"It's probably done me now, 50-odd years I've been going to the Bridge and I think that's me finished.

"The people who appointed Lamps in the first place done it to try and keep us happy. They did, they achieved that, but they put the wedge back again.

"There's a lot of feeling, I think, that enough's enough of this chopping and changing.

"Thanks, Roman, I still support you and everything, but I do question your methods."

Lampard has since broken his silence and insisted that it was a "privilege and an honour to manage."

Former Paris Saint-Germain head coach Thomas Tuchel has been tipped to succeed Lampard at the Chelsea, but the Blues have not made an official announcement yet.
