Militao, who has played nine times for Brazil, joined Real Madrid for £43million from Porto in March 2019, but he's struggled to establish himself in the side.
The 22-year-old played 15 times in La Liga last season as the side won the title, but his future at the club is uncertain after making just three appearances across all competitions this season.
Tottenham showed interest in Militao in the last transfer window, and now that he hasn't featured for Los Blancos at all since he tested positive for coronavirus in early-November, he's back on the north Londoners' radar.
Mourinho's side have been solid at the back so far this season - only Manchester City have a better defensive record - with Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld forming a strong partnership.
Alderweireld is a transfer target for PSV however, and while Spurs have Davinson Sanchez and Joe Rodon as back-up, Mourinho is thought to be keen on Militao's versatility due to his capabilities as a right back and defensive midfielder.
According to AS though, Real Madrid could be open to letting Militao go, but only for a similar amount to the £43m they originally spent on him.
