'Arsenal Fans Are Desperate For 'Billionaire' Mathieu Flamini To Get Involved In Club Takeover

Arsenal fans are desperate for former midfielder Mathieu Flamini to get involved with a proposed takeover of the club - regardless of if he's a billionaire or not.

Reports on Monday morning claimed Spotify founder Daniel Ek's interest in buying the Gunners is 'very real' and he'll have some help from a few legends.

Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira are said to be involved and supporters are delighted... but think there is room for one more.

Step forward Flamini, who founded GF Biochemicals while playing for AC Milan in 2008.

The 37-year-old has an eye for business unlike your common footballer and also co-founded Unity - an eco-friendly cosmetics company - with former teammate Mesut Ozil.

It had been rumoured Flamini was worth €30 billion after his investments, but he was quick to squash those rumours in 2018.

"Contrary to what I read, I do not have €30 billion in my bank account," he stated in 2018 per Goal.

"In fact, [€30 billion] is the total value of the market we want to 'attack' with the new technologies we have developed in recent years.

"There was a misunderstanding. It's as if we had given a single restaurant the value of the entire catering market in France."

While he might not be flush with as much cash as reported, many want to see him involved in the club he spent two separate stints with going forward.

Arsenal are currently in 10th place and lost their last game 1-0 to Everton on Friday evening.

Prior to kick-off, fans protested against current owner Stan Kroenke after a failed attempt to join the European Super League.

Do you think Stan Kroenke will sell Arsenal?
