'Fan Creates Hilarious Thread Of 'Things Lasted Longer Than The European Super League'

An incredible Twitter account is tweeting "things that lasted longer than the European Super League" after the almighty collapse of the breakaway competition.

The formation of the controversial ESL was announced in a statement, complete with quotes from owners of the founding members, on Sunday evening.

By Tuesday, following strong opposition from fans, clubs, players, governing bodies and governments, the league had been nixed after the Premier League's "big six" pulled out.

It was a chaotic two days full of so many developments to the point that it was hard to keep track.

And one fan took it upon themselves to highlight all the things that lasted longer than the ESL. The account has garnered over 19,000 followers and produced a number of hilariously brilliant posts.

Here are just some of the very best:

Boris Johnson's promise of a relaxed lockdown over the Christmas period (4 days)

Gary Neville's stint at Valencia (117 days)

Leeds United's new badge (4 days)

Gemma Collins in I'm A Celeb (3 days)

Tottenham at the top of the table in 2020/21(16 days)

Alastair Cook's 263 against Pakistan (2 days)

John Isner vs Nicolas Mahut at Wimbledon 2010 (3 days)

India and New Zealand's World Cup Semi Final 2019 (2 days)

India v England, 3rd test match 2021 (2 days)

Have you got any submissions to add to the list?
