West Ham United will complete the permanent transfer of defender Craig Dawson at the end of the current season with the centre back signing a contract until June 2023, the Premier League club confirmed on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old is currently on loan from Championship side Watford and has been a revelation since making his debut in late December, helping high-flying West Ham into the top four in the Premier League table.
"He had to be patient but he’s come in and grabbed his opportunity with both hands. We are always looking to improve the squad and Craig joining us permanently certainly does that," manager David Moyes told the club’s website.
Dawson made 182 premier league appearances for West Bromwich Albion and Watford before joining West ham in October, where he has made an additional 15 starts.
