Liverpool have now gone 1001 days without losing at home in the Premier League, and some massive moments have happened since their last loss.
The Reds last loss at Anfield in the league came on April 23 20017, when Crystal Palace returned to south London with a 2-1 win, thanks to two goals from former Liverpool striker Christian Benteke.
Since then Jurgen Klopp's side have played 51 games at home without tasting defeat, lasting over two full seasons, and a lot more has happened in that time too:
- Nine Marvel films have been released - Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: Far From Home
- Three New iPhones have been made
- Manchester United have spent £309 million on players, and have one Europa League to show for it - won a month after Liverpool's loss
- Lionel Messi has scored 119 goals for Barcelona (He reached 500 on the same day Palace beat Liverpool)
- Anthony Joshua has beaten Wladimir Klitschko, lost his world titles to Andy Ruiz and won them back
- Brexit has been delayed three times
- Boris Johnson became Prime Minister following a Conservative Party leadership vote and then extended the party's majority in a General Election
- David Moyes was appointed West Ham United manager, kept them in the Premier League, lost his job and got his job back at West Ham
- Liverpool have been in two Champions League finals
- VAR was introduced to football in the World Cup and then the Premier League, and no one has complained about it
- Manchester United founded a women's team and they've earned promotion
- Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson was cancelled for a fourth a occasion and then reorganised for a fifth, which should happen in April
- Wayne Rooney has played for Manchester United, Everton, DC United and Derby County. He's also played for England, retired from international duty and come out of retirement to play a one off game.
On Sunday Klopp's team will be looking to continue their run, and go even further ahead in the league, when they take on fierce rivals Manchester United.
The game at Old Trafford in October remains the only time this season the Reds' have dropped points in the league this season, with Adam Lallana's late equaliser earning them a point after Marcus Rashford's controversial opener.
Liverpool are currently on 38 games unbeaten in-a-row in the league and could equal Arsenal's 49 game record if they stay undefeated after the game against Manchester City on April 4th.
