The list has been decided based on 'A combination of player ability, status and the moments they gave us over the years'.

It comes as no shock that it's forward players who make up the top five.

The list has also had a say on the eternal Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard and Paul Scholes debate.

All three players come within one place of each other but it's Lampard who comes the highest in sixth place.

Scholes and Gerrard come in at seventh and eighth respectively.

The highest player on the list who is currently playing in England's top flight is Manchester City's Sergio Aguero in 15th.

An astonishing 20 of the top 50 have represented Manchester United, who dominated English football over the last 28 years.

Should the list be rewritten in the next 20 years, then it's likely some current Premier League stars could rise in the ranks.

Who do you think is the greatest player in Premier League history?
