LiVARpool, VARchester United - there's a perception that some Premier League clubs have gained from VAR's introduction this season, while others have suffered.
A league table based on match results that ignores VAR's interference bears that out too. One of the biggest beneficiaries have been Manchester United, currently seventh and three points off fourth, who might be languishing in 11th in a VAR-less league.
No need to cast your mind too far back for video assistant referees aiding United. Chelsea had two goals chalked off in their 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge (for a narrow offside and a supposed push in the box).
Controversy 🤔

Sure enough, the Blues are one of the VAR sufferers this season, losing out on a potential three more points.
The widespread view that Liverpool have been VAR gainers is also correct - to an extent. They would only be four points worse off according to the table compiled by talkSPORT, slashing their lead against Manchester City - who've had their VAR miseries - to 15 points.
So we still wouldn't exactly be talking about a tight title race.
Tottenham, one of the sides who've taken points off City thanks to VAR (think back to Gabriel Jesus being denied a late winner against Spurs in August), would slide down the table. They go from an IRL fifth spot to eighth, below Everton and fifth-placed Wolves.

Their London rivals Arsenal have had the opposite luck of the VAR. The Gunners would be three points better off without it, taking them soaring from 10th place to, well, ninth.
OK, so this isn't exactly an exact science. Decisions made during a game change the course of any match - so perhaps teams who gained an advantage by VAR would have gone on to score later anyway. We'll never know.
However the table definitely seems to accurately portray that some clubs have been benefited from VAR's introduction - particularly Brighton, who might be bottom in a pre-video technology era. Other fans, however, can reflect on the points VAR has snatched from them.
