Troy Deeney might just have unknowingly predicted Watford's incredible 3-0 victory over Liverpool at Vicarage Road on Saturday evening.
The Watford skipper's 43th Premier League goal followed up a brace from Ismaila Sarr to inflict Liverpool's first league defeat for 44 games and deny the table-toppers the chance to go the whole season unbeaten.
Liverpool's unbeaten record is really under threat now! 😳

The incredible result was one that nobody saw coming although Deeney's sarcastic comment about the visit of Liverpool being an "easy game" has resurfaced after how things transpired.

Prior till today, the last side to beat Liverpool in the league was Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in January 2019.
Asked what the formula was for beating the European champions after the game, Deeney told Sky Sports: "It was hard work, putting in a shift. Somebody had to beat Liverpool, why not us?
"We're hard to beat on our patch, we go after second balls and make it difficult for them.
"At half-time, everyone had a belief that we could get at them. We had it at Man United, we were the better team in the first half but then conceded a penalty and struggled.
"We had a tight block and hit them on the break, we have pace on the break and we got the goals today."
Liverpool's loss, which comes after a record-tying 18 straight victories, means Arsenal remain the only side to have gone the whole Premier League campaign without defeat.
There's a beautiful irony that Deeney, who has had something of a feud witht the Gunners, was instrumental in ensuring their achievement stayed unprecedented.
Any negative comment that Troy Deeney has aimed at Arsenal in the past is hereby forgiven.
