Wayne Rooney faces former side Manchester United on Thursday night in the FA Cup but is he good enough to be playing them in the league, or even still turning out for the Red Devils?
United's all time top scorer moved back to England to join Championship Derby in January this year, after two seasons in MLS playing for DC United.
In 11 games in the league he's scored three times and assisted two goals, whilst also bagging once in the FA Cup run, and some are suggesting he could still be playing at a higher level.
A cut of his highlights on YouTube has questioned if Rooney is 'too good for the Championship.'
At 34-years-old Rooney is no longer playing as a forward but playing in a deeper role he has shown he still have the football brain and ability to still play at a high level.
He left Old Trafford in 2017, after 13 seasons with the Red Devils in which he won everything in the game, to return to Everton.
At Goodison Park he scored 10 goals in 31 appearances in the league but lasted just one season in Merseyside before deciding to move to America.
In his first season in the MLS he took DC United from bottom of the the Eastern Conference and into the play-offs, before losing on penalties.
The second season again finished in the first round of the play-offs, this time in extra time, before he returned to England to become Derby's player-coach.
On Thursday he gets the chance to face former teammate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with the former United striker now in charge of the club, and the former club captain is determined to knock his ex club out of the cup.
Talking to talkSPORT Rooney said, "Manchester United is a club I love. I loved my time there.
"But for this 90 minutes or 120 minutes, whatever it is, I want them to lose.
"After the game, I'll go back to being a fan of theirs. If you're a Manchester United fan, I'm sure they'd want to hear the same thing from their players who have been at other clubs.
"Football is a game where players move on from clubs and obviously I spent a long time at Manchester United. I go back and watch the games.
"But for this one, I want Derby to win and it doesn't take away my feelings for Manchester United."
Is Rooney still good enough for the Premier League?
