Liverpool are in pole position to land the signature of rumoured target Timo Werner according to reports in Germany.
The RB Leipzig striker has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield in recent months and it is suggested the Reds are leading the race for the 24-year-old.
In a poll published by German publication BILD, as cited here, Liverpool are said to boast a 65 per cent chance of signing Werner.
This compares with Bayern Munich who are said to have a 15 per cent chance of landing the Bundesliga proven talent.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid boast a 10 per cent likelihood of acquiring the forward, with Liverpool's Premier League rivals Chelsea given a rating of just five per cent.
Earlier this year, Werner sparked speculation linking him with the Reds as he said: "There's one of the best managers in the world with Jurgen Klopp, and he is also German.
"Many things suggest that I would maybe fit in [at Liverpool] very well with my playing style."
Before football's suspension due to the coronavirus pandemic, Werner had scored a total of 27 times in 36 outings in all competitions.
