Sancho will snub Man Utd move if they don't qualify for Champions League (Sun)

Jadon Sancho will reportedly snub a summer transfer to Manchester United if they don't qualify for next season's Champions League.

England winger Sancho is expected to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, after an impressive season during which he has scored 17 goals and posted 19 assists.

United and Chelsea are believed to be among the front runners to offer the Manchester City academy product a move back to the Premier League.

But the 20-year-old wants to continue playing in the Champions League, and that will be a factor in his next career choice, according to The Sun.

The publication says that, prior to the coronavirus pandemic that has brought football to a standstill, United were ready to offer Sancho a mammoth £400,000-a-week deal.

But the deadly Covid-19 virus has caused huge uncertainty.

Clubs and players are currently in the dark as to when they will be able to resume playing, whether the current campaign will be completed, when the transfer window will open, and how much clubs will be affected financially.

United and Chelsea both face a wait to discover whether they will play in the Champions League next season.

With the Premier League season currently suspended, United are fifth in the table, just three points behind Chelsea after a resurgence from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
