'The Four Arsenal Players Who Have Broken Coronavirus Lockdown Rules

Four Arsenal players have become the latest Premier League stars to breach coronavius lockdown rules.

Footage of club record signing Nicolas Pepe having a kick-about with friends in North London emerged on WhatsApp in recent days.

David Luiz and former club captain Granit Xhaka were also spotted together on parkland in Southgate, London.

While Alexandre Lacazette was spotted standing with a car valeter who was cleaning his car on his driveway.

Arsenal released a statement to The Sun on the matter and they explained: "Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We'll be speaking to our players.

"We were concerned so we have spoken to Nicolas who shares a house with a number of relatives who were involved in this game.

"We have reminded him of the importance of everyone following the guidelines."

Ivorian international Pepe was spotted on April 15 on an astroturf pitch in Colingdale's Graham Park, which has now been closed due to public complaints.

Luiz and Xhaka's meeting took place on Tuesday, while Lacazette's car wash took place on Monday.

A dog-walker said: "They were having a great time, not a care in the world. Why is it one rule for them and another for the rest of us?"

A passer-by who spotted Lacazette said: "I was shocked to see them so close. Surely getting someone to clean your motor cannot be classed as essential travel.

"Why couldn't Lacazette have done it himself?"

It follows a string of other footballers being spotted in public despite the current global pandemic.
