Salisu has enjoyed an incredible breakout season with the LaLiga side, only making his league debut for the first-team on the opening day of the season after playing for Valladolid's reserves last term.
He hasn't missed a game since, and despite languishing four points above relegation in 15th, Valladolid have conceded the least goals in the bottom-half thanks to Salisu's performances.
Mata Snr has said of the talent: '‘The truth is that I think this may be his window to leave, because interests have arisen from many clubs, and he deserves it.’
