'Manchester City's Third Kit For Next Season Has Been Revealed And Fans Hate It

Manchester City's third kit for next season has been revealed and fans aren't sure what to make of the strange paisley pattern.

Puma have created some bizarre kits for Pep Guardiola's side this season after taking over from Nike, but the manufacturer have taken it to the next level here.

Footy Headlines have shown the shirt and the 'Whisper White' & 'Peacoat' colouring will ensure the current Premier League champions stand out.

Fans have reacted to the design and it's safe to say they aren't fond of it.

The design is a homage to the Manchester music scene, with the paisley pattern being linked to the 'Brit Pop' genre.

"Manchester's music scene has always been an influence on other bands worldwide," per a statement from Puma.

"The iconic TV program 'Top of the Pops' was run by the BBC, from 1964 - 2006, originally recorded in the city itself. The Man City 2020/2021 third kit takes inspiration from the Paisley floral pattern which was intrinsically associated to the "Brit Pop" music scene of the 1960s and 1990s."

City fans who are disappointed in this kit likely won't take joy in their home kit either.

The shirt was accidentally released on Puma's American website and featured a cracked motif.

Puma will continue to manufacture City's shirts for the next nine seasons after signing a ten year deal in 2019.

There were no official details of the new deal released but reports claim the Premier League side will earn £65 million over 10 seasons.
