You may be surprised to learn that Everton join Liverpool and Arsenal the top three, while Manchester United ironically sit in fourth position with 6403 points.

Everton have played in the top flight of English football for all but four seasons since it's inception in 1888, with only Arsenal having a longer unbroken run at the highest level.

Aston Villa, Manchester City, Tottenham and Chelsea make up the top eight, while some relatively unknown clubs feature among some of the giants of the game, including Glossop North End and Darwen FC.

Liverpool being miles ahead at the top proves how dominant The Reds were before the Premier League era.

Current manager Jurgen Klopp has helped to turn the tide since his arrival in 2015 and is set to deliver the club's first ever Premier League title.

The coronavirus pandemic has ensured 'The Reds' will have an unconventional title lift - in a car park.

It's well known at this point but should Manchester City lose to Arsenal on Wednesday and Liverpool beat Everton in the Merseyside derby four days later, the Merseyside outfit will be crowned champions.

A title win would normally spark scenes of huge celebration but Liverpool could be left to realise all their dreams in the car park of Goodison Park.

According to the Daily Mail, that's due to the fact that Covid-19 protocols will mean away sides not changing in the locker rooms in the stadium but in a temporary structure built in the car park at the Park End of the ground.

Liverpool players will be heading back to the structure at full time and could be doing so as champions, which would be the usual time to start spraying the champagne around.

The need for social distancing to be kept as much as possible even during football's return means that everything will be different to normal match prep.
