Everton have reportedly opened talks with Thiago Silva over a potential free transfer in the summer window.
Silva, 35, is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer after the conclusion of the club's Champions League campaign in August.
And reports say the Premier League outfit are looking to snap up the veteran Brazilian defender on a free transfer.
The Toffees have fended off fierce competition from a host of clubs with manager Carlo Ancelotti a decisive factor, according to transfer expert Nicolo Schira.

Ancelotti and Silva spent time together in France with PSG.
Silva, who rose to prominence in Brazil before securing a transfer to AC Milan, won't be returning to Fluminense.
"I'm enormously grateful to Fluminense for all that they have given me, but I still have goals to achieve in Europe," he stated.
The thought of Silva plying his trade at Goodison Park has excited the Everton faithful.
