'Jadon Sancho Would Rather Join Liverpool Than Manchester United

Jadon Sancho would reportedly rather join Liverpool than Manchester United because they have a better chance of winning the Premier League title.

Sancho has been the subject of intense transfer speculation with the Borussia Dortmund star heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.

He remains United's No.1 transfer target but it appears Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been dealt a major blow in his pursuit of the England forward.

Reports in Germany claim the 20-year-old would rather sign for Jurgen Klopp's side because of the higher likelihood of winning silverware next season.

Sancho is believed to be having second thoughts about joining The Red Devils, according to Kicker.

Further reports claim United had a massive €98 million (£89 million) bid for the player rejected by Dortmund.

The German outfit value him at £118 million but United are hopeful of agreeing a deal which would include a series of achievable add-ons, according to ESPN.

Though those plans could be out of the window if Sancho prefers a move to Anfield.

Liverpool, of course, secured their first ever Premier League title last season after a remarkable league campaign.

But despite the sales of Dejan Lovren and Adam Lallana, Klopp doesn't expect to be busy in the market.

Speaking about transfers, he said: "Look, the perfect scenario for a football manager is that you have 40 players available and they are all happy with the situation they are in and then you just pick 20 and say that they don't need to show up for three weeks and then you pick the other 20.

"But it doesn't work like that. The world is not like this. I did not want to be part of a squad like this to be honest.

"It will be tricky and we have to deal with the circumstances. The situation, as we have said several times, it is really difficult to judge the future. That is always what we have to do. We have to judge the future."
