Liverpool are close to making their first signing since becoming Premier League champions.
Despite amassing 99 points across 38 games en route to winning their first league title for 30 years, the Reds are still keen to strengthen as they look to defend their crown.
Norwich City's Jamal Lewis was earmarked as a top target to provide extra cover for Andy Robertson at left-back, but having been far apart in valuation, Liverpool are now closing in on Kostas Tsimikas from Olympiakos.
As per widespread reports, Liverpool are in advanced talks with the 24-year old, who has also been courted by Leicester.
The fee for the Greek international would be €13 million (£11.75 million).
Liverpool moving onto Olympiacos left-back Kostas Tsimikas, rated at around £11.7million, after Norwich refused to budge over Jamal Lewis valuation.

Liverpool in advanced talks to sign Olympiakos left-back Kostas Tsimikas for around 13million Euros after failing to agree a fee with Norwich City for Jamal Lewis #LFC

Feel for Jamal Lewis. Was desperate to move to #LFC and would have been a great addition but just too big a gap between Norwich's valuation and what LFC were willing to pay for him.

Tsimikas is set to have a medical next week before putting pen to paper on a deal at Anfield, having recently been part of the Olympiakos side knocked out of the Europa League by Wolves.
WhoScored placed him in their list of their best 11 rookie players in this season's Champions League group stage, while Tsimikas was also key in Olympiakos's 45th Greek Super League title triumph.
Jurgen Klopp's side have been desperate for a natural left-back, having often played James Milner as a deputy whenever Robertson has been unavailable for selection.
