Jadon Sancho is expected to join Manchester United any time soon, and Rio Ferdinand has further stoked the flames by sharing a five year old tweet from the Borussia Dortmund forward.
United and the player have reportedly already agreed to the deal between themselves whilst the clubs are still negotiating on the fee and how it will be paid.
Former United star Ferdinand is obviously very excited by the move and retweeted a tweet from Sancho from 2015 that was about the pair's meeting during an England under 16 session, dropping some side eye into the equation.

Very inspirational man, @rioferdy5 knowing he grew up in the same area as me, a lot of respect! 💯 https://t.co/Ec4wnnr8ES

At that point the biggest link between the two men would have been that they grew up in the same area, and Sancho was in fact a Manchester City academy player at the time, but they will soon share an affinity to United.
Ferdinand moved from Leeds United to Old Trafford in 2002, for a then British transfer record of £34 million, and went on to win six Premier League titles as well as the Champions League during his 12 years with the club.
The 20-year-old forward will likely break the British transfer record, as well as most spent for a British or English player, the last record still held by Ferdinand, and is expected to cost around £100 million.
The former Watford youngster has become one of the best players in the world in the past couple of seasons at Borussia Dortmund and still has an incredible amount of potential at just 20-years-old.
He is expected to take the number seven shirt at Old Trafford, with Alexis Sanchez reportedly set to move to Inter for nothing, and will likely play on the right wing in a front three with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping that the deal is sorted sooner rather than later and he can then get on with the rest of recruitment ahead of next season.
Will Sancho move to United and will he be a success? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
