Gareth Bale could make his first appearance for Spurs in seven years next Sunday, after leaving the staff at Tottenham 'blown away' by his work in training.
Bale left north London for Real Madrid in 2013, for a then world record transfer fee, but returned to Spurs in the summer on loan after a miserable past few years in the Spanish capital.
So far the Welshman has only been seen enjoying the games from the stands as he's been unable to play due to an injury he had when he returned.
However that looks like it will change, with the Telegraph reporting that Bale is now set to make his first appearance of his temporary move back to England against West Ham a week on Sunday.
Bale wasn't fit enough to be in the current Wales squad, missing the friendly loss against England on Thursday and the upcoming Nations League games against Ireland and Bulgaria, but has been continuing his work to get fit.
football.london claim that Spurs' backroom staff have been left 'blown away' by the work that the 31-year-old has done on the training pitch in recent weeks.
His drive and quality have impressed management and Mourinho is expected to use him in the London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Spurs' previous two games have hardly suggested a need for the former Southampton winger with the team scoring 13 goals across the last 180 minutes.
The Premier League side beat Maccabi Haifa 7-2 in the final round of the Europa League qualification before battering Manchester United 6-1 at Old Trafford in the league last weekend.
Next up they face a West Ham side who have got some decent form behind them, having beaten Wolves 4-0 and Leicester City 3-1 in their previous two games, though they also lost to in form Everton in the Carabao Cup in between.
