Jack Grealish has been accused of "holding Aston Villa back" because he "seems to be unaware of what he's doing" at times.
Villa are currently second in the Premier League after an unbeaten start to the season, with club captain Grealish being a standout performer.
The 25-year-old has scored three goals and registered three assists this season, in addition to receiving his first England cap earlier this month.
But talkSPORT host Adrian Durham thinks while Grealish is a talented player, more coaching from Dean Smith and the Villa staff could make him even better.
"When you look at [Everton midfielder] James Rodriguez, he fits into a position they need him to fit into in the team and he operates from that position," Durham begun.
"He's so disciplined tactically. But with Jack Grealish, I do wonder if he actually holds Aston Villa back at times.
"Just hear me out on this, because I think he's brilliant and I said last week that I don't think England are going to do anything unless someone like Grealish is in the side. But what he also needs is some serious coaching.

"Sometimes he just seems to be unaware of what he's doing. That's ok up to a point because it can be brilliant, but there are other times when he'll run into a dead end.
"For example, against Leicester he had the ball in a position where any other player would have had a shot, but he took 11 touches and ran it out of play.
"There was another one a few moments later where he's spearheading a three-on-two, so he's got to make a choice - he should draw one of the defenders and pass it to one of his overlapping teammates - but he doesn't.
"Instead he carries on takes 12 touches on the ball and then passes it to a Leicester player when there's nowhere else to go.
"So I'm just left thinking, if you're coached in that moment and coached how to deal with those situations, then you're going to become an even better player than he is.
"There's no doubt he's incredibly talented, but I just wonder if Aston Villa and Dean Smith just let him go out there and do his thing too much, or whether he needs more coaching."
