'Mesut Ozil Hilariously Mocks Himself As He Watches Arsenal At Home

Mesut Ozil has made fun of himself for being at home watching the television whilst Arsenal start their Europa League campaign for the season.

This week it was revealed that Ozil, who is the club's top earner according to Spotrac, won't be playing for the team any time soon, having been left out of the Premier League 25 man squad.

The German also missed out on the squad for Europe, which means he's sat at home watching on the television whilst his teammates are in Vienna on Thursday night.

After asking for predictions for the match, the former Real Madrid player took to social media for the second time this evening to mock himself for being at home.

It even looks like the GIF version of Ozil is trying to find a stream to watch the game.

And it didn't stop at pre game banter from the 32-year-old either.

Whilst watching the game he noticed that SK Rapid Wien goalkeeper Richard Strebinger wears a scrum cap whilst playing, just like former Arsenal goalie Petr Cech.

Ozil tagged his mate to say it had been a big week for the Chelsea goalkeeper, first re-signing for the Blues and now playing against his old side.

It's certainly a new part of his career for Ozil, going from World Cup winner and an integral part of the north London side to just sh*tposting during games and watching from home, it's pretty sad.

Just over two weeks ago he was being heralded once again by fans of the club for trying to save Gunnersaurus but now his time in England is likely to end on a very sour note.

After being left out of the Premier League squad he questioned the club's loyalty to him and also claimed his stance against China was why he had missed out on the team.
