'ESPN Reporters Seemingly Mock Tottenham Striker Harry Kane For Speech Impediment In Leaked Footage

ESPN journalists have come under fire for seeming to mock Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane's speech impediment in leaked footage.

Kane scored in Spurs' 2-1 win over Brighton on Sunday to move into the top ten goalscorers in Premier League history.

It's an accolade worthy of discussion, but ESPN FC's Alexis Nunes and Mark Ogden were heard discussing something else.

Ogden begins: "Harry Kane, you know he is probably the most..." before waving his arm mid-sentence.


Nunes then interjects with: "He's like 'Do I have to talk about this mofo?'"

Ogden's responds: "It's just really boring, isn't it?"

An unseen presenter chips in by adding: "I hate hearing him speak. He's got a weird voice."

Ogden jokes: "Shall I do it in the style of Harry Kane?"

The presenter adds: "Through the whole thing yeah, that's what stands out about him."

Nunes then finishes the chat with: "Yeah, his voice. Literally. For someone who speaks like that, thank God he plays football."

ESPN are yet to comment on the incident.

Kane's penalty gave Spurs the lead in controversial circumstances after Adam Lallana bundled him over on the line of the penalty area.

Brighton didn't have many chances but drew level in the second half through Tariq Lamptey's first Premier League goal.

In one last twist however, Gareth Bale netted his first Spurs goal since 2013 from the bench to seal victory.

Manager Jose Mourinho commented on Bale's first goal for anyone since January and even had a swipe at parent club Real Madrid.

"For a week or so now, he's been improving," Mourinho explained per Goal.

"It's not just from watching him, the data supports that as well. We knew, Gareth knew. We share ideas and feelings.

"He deserves that [the goal]. When I have five minutes I'm going on Safari to look at the Madrid websites to see what they say about him.

"He showed great personality and had a great impact, scoring a very important goal for us. He also joined Harry in a very experienced way to play the last 15 minutes for us."

Spurs are now second in the Premier League and two points behind leaders Liverpool.
