'Marcus Rashford And Jurgen Klopp Voted 'More Effective' Leaders Than Boris Johnson

Marcus Rashford and Jurgen Klopp make more effective leaders than any of Britain's current political leaders, including the Prime Minister, according to a poll.

Rashford is an inspiration on the pitch to many but off the pitch his performances have really been catching the eye in recent months.

He has twice helped force the government into u-turns over funding the free school meals scheme outside of term time, to help feed many children.

That showing of leadership has made him more popular than Boris Johnson as a leader, according to one poll.

Strategy consultancy BritainThinks, via the Times, asked people to rate how effective leaders were out of 10, with Rashford and Liverpool boss Klopp added amongst a group of politicians and public figures.

Klopp only finished below former Prime Minister Winston Churchill, former President of South Africa Nelson Mandela and New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern, with Rashford one place below the Reds' boss.

The two men from the footballing world lead a run of the women, The Queen, though how much effective leading she does is probably questionable, Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, former PM Margaret Thatcher and Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.

The SNP leader is the most effective current political leader with many impressed how she has handled the Covid-19 crisis, especially in comparison to Johnson.

Labour leader Kier Starmer is the next on the list for party leaders, followed by the current PM and finally Lib Dem leader Ed Davey.

Donald Trump, fresh from losing the US election, is way down at the bottom of the list with a score of just 2.93 out of 10.

Whilst Rashford has shown incredible leadership away from the pitch, though some United fans would love to see him become captain, it is Klopp's leadership of his team that has no doubt seen him poll so highly.

Since joining Liverpool in 2015, the former Borussia Dortmund manager has turned the club around from a side challenging for the top four to the World, European and Premier League champions.

There has been an absolute buy in from the players, staff and fans at how the German goes about his business and it's clearly worked.

A team of Rashford and Klopp would probably win by a landslide in a vote, especially in the north-west of the country.
