Manchester City have been predicted to beat Liverpool to the Premier League title this season, according to a supercomputer's latest predictions.
Pep Guardiola's side are currently 10th in the table and are five points adrift from defending champions Liverpool -- though City do have a match in hand.
And FiveThirtyEight now reports that City have the best chance to win the league title at 46 per cent.
Liverpool, who are third and level on points with second-placed Tottenham, have a 28 per cent chance of retaining their championship status.
City and Liverpool are predicted to finish first and second respectively, while Chelsea are expected to come third and Spurs finish fourth to secure the final Champions League spot.
Leicester City, Manchester United and Arsenal finished fifth, sixth and seventh respectively.
The Red Devils have only a 32 per cent chance of finishing in the top four, while the Gunners are even less likely to secure Champions League football at a 17 per cent chance.
West Brom, Fulham and Sheffield United are all predicted to be relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season.
