Alisson in line to return for Fulham clash as Oxlade-Chamberlain set to miss out

It's good news and bad for Liverpool's walking wounded ahead of their trip to Fulham, with Alisson set to return while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has work to do before a return.

The Reds were without their No.1 goalkeeper for three games after the Brazilian injured his hamstring against Brighton, as Caoimhin Kelleher excelled as a stand-in - helping the Reds to beat Ajax and Wolves, plus a draw at Midtjylland on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Oxlade-Chamberlain is yet to appear this season after sustaining a knee injury in training during the pre-season build-up. The midfielder returned to first-team training on Tuesday, but isn't quite ready yet.

'Alisson will train today and if he's all fine then he can play,' Jurgen Klopp revealed in his pre-match press conference.

On Oxlade-Chamberlain: 'I still remember how it happened in training. It was a normal challenge, one gets up and the other didn't.

'Now he's with the team and has done all the steps, it's great for us. We cannot and will not rush it.

'When he's been in team training long enough he becomes an option.

'The situation probably demands to involve him as soon as possible but i don't know if the weekend is (the right time).'

Fulham are hovering just a point above the drop-zone after a six-game winless run to start their return to the Premier League.

The west Londoners lost 2-0 to Manchester City last time out, but a 2-1 away win at Leicester before that has injected hope into Scott Parker's side's survival push.

Klopp revealed that Liverpool will 'have to see' on Konstantinos Tsimikas and Diogo Jota's fitness.

The Greek left-back was subbed-off after an hour of the Champions League trip to Denmark after picking-up a knock, while Jota now faces a late fitness test for the Fulham clash.
