Gary Neville has apologised for his commentary during Burnley vs. Manchester United, blaming VAR on social media.
Neville's underwhelming commentary didn't go down too well with United fans who slammed the Sky Sports pundit for his performance on Tuesday.
Neville then appealed for a United penalty after the ball struck Ben Mee flush in the face.
Naturally, fans online took aim at their former United captain on Twitter.

One tweeted: "So desperate to appear unbiased in commentary he's making a tit of himself."
A second added: "Gary Neville is chatting pure nonsense in my ear."
The 45-year-old addressed his criticism, tweeting honestly following United's 1-0 victory over Burnley.
He wrote: "Apologies for the commentary tonight ! Stockley park all over the place , producer in my ear saying Salford have scored in the 92min and United gone top of the league ! Delirious ! I will be better Sunday."

Speaking after United climbed to the top of the Premier League table, Neville talked up his old side's chances of winning the league.
'Why shouldn't Manchester United fans get carried away?' 💭

Could #MUFC really win the Premier League this season? 🏆

"It's a big win with what is at stake before Sunday," he said.
"It feels like a big moment in the sense that six to eight weeks ago you would never have thought that United would be anywhere near this position but now they find themselves with something building, a spirit growing, you can see the way they are celebrating with each other.
"It could easily turn the other way in three of four weeks time but like I said it's not going to stop United fans getting carried away because why shouldn't they?
"It's been a really difficult few years and there's been times when Manchester United have looked a million miles away from the top of the league so to be top and three points clear of a really good Liverpool side in January isn't something that was expected."
United resume their league campaign against second-placed Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
