Some Manchester United fans believe that Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo has dropped a strong hint on social media that he may be coming back to Old Trafford.
The Portuguese, who spent six seasons with United, has 255 million followers on Instagram - more than anyone else in the world. His account is strategically managed, as you'd expect - and he's suddenly begun following Manchester United's official account for the first time.
"Cristiano Ronaldo just followed Manchester United on Instagram. He doesn't follow Real Madrid BTW," pointed out one United fan on Twitter.

There's plenty of rumours about Ronaldo's future in Turin. The cash-strapped Serie A champions are struggling financially throughout the pandemic.
Selling Ronaldo - who earns a reported £28 million a year in wages - is one possibly way 'The Old Lady' could stabilise their financial outgoings.

While Ronaldo turns 36 next month, he's still producing remarkable numbers with 19 goals in 19 games in all competitions for Juve next season.
There's also the theory that, while Ronaldo is not a purchase for the future, he could be a powerful influence on Man United's relatively youthful dressing room. Learning from Ronaldo's example in training could have a great impact on the likes of Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, Amad Diallo, Daniel James and Anthony Martial.
Plus there's the global attention and PR that would come with having CR7 back at Old Trafford.
seriously though how good does this look lets bring back our superstar. Come back home @Cristiano pic.twitter.com/VYZqm1yAU0

While his nine years at Real Madrid probably saw Ronaldo reach his very peak form, Ronaldo was shaped into a modern great under Sir Alex Ferguson after he joined from Sporting CP in 2003.
After three seasons of gradual improvement, he won three Premier League titles, his first Champions League and his first Ballon d'Or award.
Ever since his £80 million move to Madrid - and subsequent transfer to Juventus in 2018 - there have always been rumours linking Ronaldo with a return to United.
Of course, one follow on Instagram does not mean the move is bound to happen. We seriously doubt Ronaldo is, right now, sliding into @manchesterunited's DMs and asking to speak urgently to Ed Woodward.
But if Juventus do decide to cash in on their No 7 at the end of the 2020/21 season, Man United would be one of the few clubs who could afford to pay the great man's wages. And some United fans are clearly very much in favour of the move.
