League One side Crewe Alexandra have launched a fairly savage attack on Premier League champions Liverpool via TikTok.
The Railwaymen shared a video beginning with the caption: "English teams that have scored more home goals than Liverpool in 2021..." over footage of Divock Origi blasting a shot wide.
Then came a gigantic list - starting with Crewe, naturally - but including (deep breath) Brentford, Sunderland, Barrow, Wycombe, Manchester United, Cardiff, West Brom, Lincoln, Leicester... and so on. Until the video finished on Jurgen Klopp's bewildered face.

Why Crewe chose this exact moment to brutally troll their north-west neighbours, piling in on Liverpool's current misery, is a question beyond even the wisest of us.

The video - which has already been viewed over 100,000 times - comes with the caption: "No we're not joking! Tag your team in the comments if they've outscored Liverpool!"
Ouch. Klopp's injury-hit team have of course been struggling massively in 2021 and Thursday night's 1-0 defeat to Chelsea meant Liverpool had lost five home league games for the first time in their history.

Liverpool's scoring record at Anfield in 2021 is six games and only one goal - and that was a Mohamed Salah penalty in a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester City.
By comparison, Crewe - currently 11th in League One - have scored nine home goals in 2021 (although there have been a fair few flying in at the other end).

Still - as Crewe were so eager to point out - they are not alone in outscoring the Reds this season.
Although quite why Crewe decided this was the exact moment to take a cheeky dig at their far larger neighbour is anybody's guess.
