Burnley fans are the Premier League supporters who are most likely to choose a football win over sex, according to a new study.
The survey, commissioned by Casino Winner, collected 2,000 responses from Premier League fans who are currently based in the UK.
And Burnley supporters came out on top in their preference of a football win over sex with 22 per cent.
The Clarets narrowly edged out Everton fans, who came second with 21 per cent share of the vote.
Sheffield United, Crystal Palace and West Brom all came in third place with 18 per cent of the vote each.
According to the research, 12 per cent of women strongly agreed that they preferred watching their favourite team win rather than being under the sheets with their partner.
However, 17 per cent of women somewhat agreed with the idea that they would rather see their team score rather than having sex.
The survey's findings also revealed that nearly 6 in 10 Brits admitted that their mood is impacted by football matches.
Meanwhile, 33 per cent of fans insisted that they are likely to pick their friends based on which football team they support.
Michele Wilmott, a physical intimacy professional, claimed that the thrill factor from football could provide women a "way of escaping unhappiness or dissatisfaction" from their partners.
She explained: "The entertainment provided by football can be a way of escaping unhappiness or dissatisfaction for many women that their partners are often blissfully unaware of.
"Women often lean towards avoiding conflict, and this dissatisfaction can be an uncomfortable subject to discuss with partners.
"The camaraderie that is often displayed and experienced at football matches, especially if it's a football match they are watching or attending with friends, can sometimes be more exciting than the thought of spending time being intimate with their partners."
