'Allan Saint-Maximin Hilariously Ruins Everton Fan On Twitter After Newcastle Heroics

Newcastle winger Allan Saint-Maximin savagely destroyed an Everton fan who trolled him this weekend.

The French attacker inspired his side to a 2-1 turnaround win over Burnley on Sunday, coming off the bench to brilliantly assist the away side's first goal before netting a superb solo strike to seal victory.

Three vital points for Newcastle and - as importantly in our eyes - a perfect counter to Everton fan Patrick Williams who had tweeted Saint-Maximin that very morning to say: "Overrated player that wouldn't even make our bench."

Saint-Maximin, the undisputed king of football twitter, took time out to reply post-match with: "Thank you for your comment Patrick" and a picture of a microphone held over a rubbish bin.

Ouch. Williams should have known not to (ahem) trash talk Saint-Maximin - whose response already has a quarter of a million likes on Twitter.

The mercurial Saint-Maximin was at his very best on Sunday as he almost single-handedly gave Newcastle a win which took them six points clear of the relegation places.

The 24-year-old has also 'won' Twitter on several other occasions in the past.

He once replied to a Newcastle fan who flashed his penis in celebration during an FA Cup tie with: "That's messed up since we didn't see anything because of the cold night (hopefully)."

In February, the former Nice and Saint-Etienne winger responded to a Sunderland supporter who slated Newcastle's U23 side with a cutback as devastating as anything he produced on the pitch against Burnley.

It began when a Tyne-Wear derby was postponed due to heavy snowfall and a Twitter user wrote: "Sunderland would win anyway lol you're team is shit."

Saint-Maximin then posted a GIF of The Weeknd's Super Bowl performance alongside the caption: "The Premier League calendar looking for Sunderland season after season."

The French ace also had the perfect response to Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson when he spent the afternoon mispronouncing his name "Sam Maximus" throughout a Soccer Saturday programme.
