'Juventus Have An 'Obsession' To Sign Manchester United Player

Juventus have an 'obsession' with Alex Telles and will try and make a swap deal with the Manchester United full back in the summer.

Telles arrived at Old Trafford on transfer deadline day back in October, after a typically long drawn out saga, and was expected to become Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first choice left back.

However the former Porto defender has started just six games in the Premier League, with most appearances coming in cup competitions.

A mixture of Covid-19, his form and, perhaps most importantly, the incredible form of Luke Shaw has seen him stay behind the England full back in the pecking order.

That doesn't put Juventus off though, with the Old Lady 'obsessed' with signing the 28-year-old, according to Calciomercato.

The paper claims that the form of Alex Sandro has led them to target a new left back and the former Inter full back does hold an Italian passport.

According to the reports, the Italian champions, who are highly unlikely to make it 10 titles in-a-row, are on good terms with United, despite the collapse of the European Super League, making negotiations easier.

The Italians could offer midfielder Adrien Rabiot in exchange for Telles, with the former PSG player failing to impress in Turin.

It is not the first time that Rabiot has been linked with a move to United. The Premier League side were reportedly interested when the midfielder was still in France.

Last year Rabiot was also part of a rumour that claimed the 26-year-old, who has started 20 league games for Andrea Pirlo this season, would be used in an exchange deal for Paul Pogba.

It seems that Juve might be just as obsessed with getting rid of Rabiot as they are at signing Telles, and see swap deals as their best chance.

Pirlo's first season hasn't gone according to plan at all and the Turin club have gone from winning nine titles in-a-row to struggling to qualify for next season's Champions League.

With just six games to go they are fourth with fifth place Napoli just two points behind, Juve still have to face leaders Inter and second placed AC Milan before the end of the season.

After Andrea Angelli's part in the Super League, fans of most clubs would find it hilarious if they weren't in next season's Champions League!
