Liverpool have now had 10 goals disallowed since VAR was introduced in the Premier League - more than anyone else in the top flight.
The technology was brought into help officials and focuses on eradicating "clear and obvious" errors at the start of the 2019/20 season.
Liverpool claimed a first league title in 30 years last term but they did have three goals chalked off courtesy of VAR. The first was a Sadio Mane goal that was disallowed for handball against Manchester United in a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford in October 2019.
In the same game, United's goal was controversial as despite it looking like a foul from Victor Lindelof on Divock Origi, Marcus Rashford's opener stood.
Mane had a strike ruled out for a fractional offside against Watford, while Roberto Firmino's stunner in the reverse fixture against United was not given as Virgil Van Dijk was adjudged to have fouled David De Gea in the build-up.
This season, the Premier League champions have had a total of seven goals disallowed by VAR. It all kicked off with Mane being ruled narrowly offside for Jordan Henderson's last-minute winner against Everton - a fixture that also saw Jordan Pickford avoid punishment for a wild tackle that put Van Dijk out for the season.

And the most recent left Liverpool fans irate against Aston Villa. Though it didn't have a bearing on the result in the end, Diogo Jota's sleeve was deemed offside for Roberto Firmino's goal on the stroke of half-time and it was cancelled following a lengthy check.
